A custom mountain home with sweeping ridge views, hand-laid stonework, a great room anchored by a full-height stone fireplace, and details from front door to ceiling that reward a second look.
A ground-up mountain home built on a ridge with views you don’t get to engineer, only frame. The site shaped every decision: the breezeway and front porch were positioned to capture the morning light, the great room was sized around the chimney mass, and the upstairs nook was built specifically for the view we kept finding ourselves drawn to during framing.
Every surface in the house is something we chose with the owners on site. The ceiling woodwork in the great room is hand-fit. The kitchen cabinetry is custom-built for the way they actually cook. The stonework on the chimney and retaining walls was laid by the same mason for visual continuity inside and out.
